Lamor's Success Story with Hands-On LCA Training

Company

Lamor Corporation is a global leader in providing oil spill response and environmental solutions.

Challenge

Lamor had wanted to enhance their in-house expertise further, aiming to ensure the sustainability of their processes for future projects. Specifically, Lamor needed comprehensive expertise to accurately assess and understand the environmental impacts of their soil remediation methodology.

This understanding was crucial not only to demonstrate the process's environmental impact to its customers but also to internally develop Lamor’s sustainability performance. By quantifying the environmental benefits through concrete data and numbers, Lamor sought to validate their effectiveness in remediation efforts.

Why us?

Lamor was already familiar with our Academy's training program, having previously trained one of their employees with us. They were satisfied with our services; communication was effortless, and collaboration was easy. They had carefully considered how to advance their internal LCA capabilities and ultimately chose us because we could best match their specific needs.

Solution

To meet this challenge head-on, Lamor selected a team member already familiar with the soil remediation operations, to undergo Environmental Impacts Academy's Hands-On LCA Training Program. This 10-week program was meticulously designed to equip participants with the theoretical foundations and practical skills necessary to conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) effectively.

The training curriculum is structured to ensure each participant can customize their learning to meet their specific needs and industry requirements following the basic fundamentals module.

Fundamentals of LCA: Participants learn essential methodologies for conducting environmental impact assessments, specifically tailored for their needs.

Industry Insights: Gain insights into unique environmental considerations and regulatory requirements pertinent to Lamor's operations.

Hands-On Project Work: Participant completed a practical LCA project on chosen remediation methodology, evaluating its environmental impact and identifying areas for improvement.

Results

Lamor possesses a comprehensive understanding of the environmental impacts associated with the selected remediation methodology, which proves invaluable for future comparisons and advancements. They expressed high satisfaction with our training program and have already devised additional LCA plans.

The LCA methodology has proven highly beneficial to address the company's specific needs. With enhanced in-house expertise and a clear vision for future projects, Lamor is poised for sustainable growth.
